This 57 page ebook promotes autonomous, instinct-driven birth by emphasizing the need for privacy and a peaceful environment to tap into primal mammalian intelligence. The guide empowers pregnant people and families to navigate the medical system through self-advocacy and the application of traditional prenatal care methods like self-palpation, working with a culturally appropriate midwife, as well as practical preparation for those who choose home or water births. It includes Montse´s storytelling, worksheets for you to fill out, resources for further learning and a list of essentials for homebirth.
This 44 page ebook is all about reclaiming Indigenous foodways—centered on the milpa system, traditional preparation methods, and fermented foods—as essential for health, autonomy, and ancestral connection, particularly during pregnancy and postpartum. In this book I promote nutrient-dense, traditional diets as a form of resistance against modern, processed foods, while providing practical advice for sourcing ingredients and building community food sovereignty. It includes 13 recipes of traditional and easily accessible foods for pregnancy and postpartum nourishment, along with a lenghty shopping list with many suggestions for MesoAmerican-based foods.
